Many Liberian families live day by day to survive, often earning only enough money to feed their family for that day, maybe two. Fridges are rare and food would spoil in the heat within a couple days without one. This was making it difficult for them to self isolate because they needed to be out making money to survive.
Through your gifts, we’ve been able to provide more than 350 bags of rice and more than 1000 sacs of water which have been distributed to people in the community and smaller villages.
On April 22nd (2020) we had what we affectionately called a “Quarantine Christmas”. Parents were so appreciative of the many toys we were able to distribute for the children to play with during quarantine. In many parts of the world, children have many options of toys and digital devices to play with during this time. Many Liberian children didn’t have any toys and with your help, we were able to change that!
